Delhi CM Kejriwal arrested by ED in liquor policy case

New Delhi: After the Delhi High Court denied Arvind Kejriwal's appeal for protection from 'coercive action' by the Enforcement Directorate, which had repeatedly summoned him, the agency arrested the chief minister of Delhi on Thursday night in connection with the liquor policy issue.

After being questioned at his home for more than two hours by an ED team that included a Joint Director, the AAP chief was taken into custody.

Earlier in the day, the Delhi High Court refused to grant Kejriwal any interim relief.

Kejriwal is the biggest name to be arrested in the alleged scam, after BRS lawmaker K. Kavitha, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and AAP RS member Sanjay Singh, among others.
