'Delhi brokers' trying to buy 20-30 TRS MLAs: Talangana Chief Minister

Telangana: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao pinned down on the BJP accusing the saffron party of trying to switch sides 20 to 30 lawmakers of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) by offering money.

The Chief Minister added that the brokers of the BJP offered Rs 100 crore each to the lawmakers ahead of the Munugode bye-poll, according to The News Minute.

Chandrasekhar Rao made the statement hours after three men who were allegedly the agents of BJP, were arrested and remanded to custody on charges of bribing lawmakers.

Following the complaint by one of the TRS lawmakers Pilot Rohith Reddy, cases were filed against against Ramachandra Bharati alias Satish Sharma, Nanda Kumar and Simhayaji Swamy on October 26 night.

In the FIR copy of the case, according to TNM, Reddy alleged that the accused persons offered him Rs 100 crore in lieu of leaving the TRS to contest as a BJP candidate in the Assembly polls.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called the lawmakers four sons of soil who he said rebuffed the offer of money to buy their "self-respect".

The CM added that the Delhi brokers wanted to purchase legislators like " cattle" in the open market, according to the report.

The BJP leader and Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy hit back at Rao on twitter saying that Rao called them Delhi brokers but " through brokerism (sic) only you encouraged all the MLAs who have joined your party earlier".

G Kishan Reddy added that the BJP had no intention of toppling the KCR government and said the Rao's party already lost respect of the people.
