Delhi Assembly polls: Arvind Kejriwal is 'Mogambo' in BJP’s poster

New Delhi: The BJP and Aam Aadmi Party are putting out quirky posters intensely targeting each other in the Delhi polls after they emerged as the main rivals.

One poster released by the BJP depicts AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal as Mogambo the iconic villain played by late actor Amrish Puri in the 1980 movie 'Mr India'.

Both parties are mostly turn to Bollywood films for ideas to create riveting posters.

The BJP has its poster captioned as ‘Purvanchaliyon se Nafrat ki Aag’ meaning ‘fiery hatred against people from Purvanchal’.

This comes against the backdrop of Kejriwal’s alleged insult to the Purvanchali community by terming some voters as ‘fake.’

Both parties are targeting influential Purvanchali vote bank in the national capital.

The BJP poster read people from UP- Bihar living in Delhi are fake for Kejriwal but asked if Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators his friends.

‘AAP's anti-Purvanchal face has been exposed before the whole country. People from UP-Bihar living in Delhi are fake for Arvind Kejriwal. But are Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators his friends?’, the poster read.

AAP got back at the BJP with a spoof based on the 1996 Ajay Devgn starrer Diljale showing a fictional conversation between Amrish Puri’s character, Dara, and a deepfake of Union Minister Amit Shah.

Amrish Puri’s character, Dara, is seen in the clip mocking ‘Amit Shah’ for not announcing a chief ministerial candidate in Delhi.

Amrish Puri’s character was seen asking in Hindi which is translated as ‘Where is the groom, where is the vision? There are only abuses. Kejriwal has worked for Delhi, but you have only given abuses.’

Earlier the AAP came out with a poster portraying BJP's Kalkaji candidate, Ramesh Bidhuri as the antagonist in ‘Bahubali 1’ calling him ‘CM face of the abusive party’.

The BJP hit back pointing to the alleged expensive renovation of Kejriwal’s official residence, calling him ‘Sheeshmahal wale AAP-da-e-aazam.’
