New Delhi: Hates speeches of most brazen kind were heard at a rally taken out by the VHP in the capital city the other day.
One of the speakers Jagat Guru Yogeshwar Acharya urged people to behead and cut the hands of those who attack them.
Acharya, further instigating violence, said that it was about time to teach "these elements" lesson, adding that the most they will face is jail.
The spiteful speeches came against the backdrop of the murder of a 25-year-old man allegedly by three from Muslim community.
Police ruled out any communal motive behind the murder, which was to do with the theft of a phone and subsequent police case.
The victim Manish was attacked when he refused to withdraw the case he had filed against two men.
The killers, the police suspect, are the friends of the mobile snatchers.
At the rally there was no end to catcalls for violence. Another speaker Mahant Nawal Kishore Das went to the extreme encouraging people to take guns even unlicensed ones.
He told people not to worry about licence, adding whether those come to kill got any licence for their guns.
VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said the message was given to jihadi elements and not towards any community.
