Gujarat: The state of Gujarat is stumbling on the fuming Covid-19 crisis as cases surge over more than 6000 and casualties stand at 55, last day. While the state's active cases stand at 30,680, the recovery percentage slumped to 89.9 per cent.
Now, alarming visuals of pandemic strike on Gujarat are spreading on social media. Footages of ambulances waiting in line in front of a hospital brimming with patients and the dead being carried on tempo carriages due to insufficient services of ambulances are spreading in Twitter.
One of the tweets accuses the state government that they attend rallies in Bengal while the state staggers under the pandemic onslaught.
There were reported incidents where the dead were cremated in the open due to the unavailability of crematoriums. The Hindu reported that because of the same, bodies from Surat were shifted for the cremation to cities nearby.
