Covid 19 is taking a high spike across the states in the country especially Maharashtra has witnessed high-speed transmission in the last few days forcing authorities to close down the schools. A circular from the government dated January stated that schools will be closed till Feb 15, 2022. This circular allows ( 10 and 12 ) students to attend their regular classes The circular also informed that this action from authorities is because of the sudden rise in the Covid-19 cases.
The government guidelines added that teachers are permitted to go ahead with the administrative level activities as instructed by the School Education Department, Department of Skill and Entrepreneurship Development, other departments. Further the circular added that "Exceptions if required by these departments and statutory authorities due to any exigency will have to be got approved by SDMA,".
The circular clearly stated that this notification shall not be effected to the scheduled competitive exams and all the competitive exams will be conducted as per Covid-19 guidelines. The circular additionally states that "All competitive exams being held at national level shall be as per the GOI guidelines. Hall tickets for these exams shall be the valid document to prove essential purpose for movement,"
In the wake high-speed transition of Covid, 19 Maharashtra government carried out strict restrictions as its measure to contain the viruses. Theatres are instructed to limit the audience in half and also reduce the timing to 10 pm to 8 a. public gatherings are banned in the state and also beauty salons, sports complexes, swimming pools, gyms, spas, and wellness centers will remain closed as per the new guidelines.
