COVID-19: Himanchal extends curfew till May 26

Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, on Saturday, extended the statewide COVID-19 caused curfew till May 26 morning.

The cabinet allowed the hiring of hearse vans by medical colleges, zonal and regional hospitals with a bed capacity of 200 and above besides all municipal corporations. While the state forest department would provide free wood for the cremation of corona patients in areas where forest rights are enforced, the forest corporations would provide wood in other areas. Construction material shops would be allowed to function every Tuesday and Friday for three hours.

Marriages have been restricted to homes with less than 20 guests, while marriage processions have been banned.
