Congress wins in in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Chalakudy

In a significant victory for Congress, KC Venugopal has emerged as the winner in the Alappuzha constituency.

Venugopal defeated AM Ariff of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) by securing a total of 404,560 votes. This win reinforces Venugopal's stronghold in the region and underscores the continued support for the INC in Alappuzha.

Hibi Eden has made history in the Ernakulam constituency with an unprecedented victory margin.

Eden's opponent from the Left Democratic Front (LDF), K J Shine, trailed significantly, unable to close the gap as Eden amassed a formidable lead of 247,245 votes. By 2:45 pm, Eden had secured a total of 476,270 votes, while Shine's total stood at 229,025 votes. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate, K S Radhakrishnan, came in third with 143,045 votes.

This victory not only marks a decisive win for Eden but also sets a new record in Ernakulam's electoral history, surpassing his previous record set in 2019 when he won by a margin of 169,153 votes.

In another significant win for the Congress, Benny Behanan has claimed victory in the Chalakudy constituency. Behanan defeated CPM's C. Raveendranath, garnering a total of 394,171 votes.
