New Delhi: The Congress party will present a ‘Black Paper’ countering BJP’s ‘White Paper’ in the parliament during the budget session, NDTV reported.
The ‘Black Paper', more likely to be present by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, will compare the economic performance of 10 years of Modi administration with that of previous Congress-led UP government.
The Modi administration announced on February 1 about bringing out a ‘White Paper’ to compare its economic performance with that of UPA government.
Presenting the interim budget days ago, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Modi government has put economy ‘firmly’ on high growth path, solving the crisis roiling before it came power in 2014.
Presenting a White Paper she said will help ‘to look at where we were then till 2014 and where we are now, the only purpose was to draw lessons from the mismanagement of those years’.
The budget session started with the address by President Droupadi Murmu on January 31 will conclude on February 9.
