Agartala: Over a month into becoming Chief Minister, BJP leader Manik Saha on Sunday won the assembly bypoll endorsing his position.

The Election Commission also said that BJP alongside won Jubarajnagar and Surma seats in Tripura bypolls.
Congress candidate Sudip Roy Barman won the prestigious Agartala seat by 3,163 votes.
Manik Saha defeated Congress candidate Ashish Kumar Saha, securing 16,870 votes against Ashish Saha's 10,930 votes.
Manik Saha, a Rajya Sabha member, was sworn in last month after chief minister Biplab Deb's resignation.
Saha quit the Congress in 2016 to join BJP and became the state president of the party in 2020.
