New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday released the Class 12 Board exam results. On its Twitter account, the Board shared the news. On the official websites, cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in, the result has been uploaded. A false circular that claimed the results were announced on May 11 caused the excitement surrounding the results to start picking up earlier this week. But CBSE dismissed such information, claiming that the letter was fake because they never provide the dates in advance, NDTV reported.
According to CBSE, the pass rate this year is 87.33 per cent, which is higher than the pass rate of 83.40 per cent in 2019 during the pre-Covid period.
In an effort to prevent unhealthy competition, the Board also announced that it will not be giving first, second, or third divisions to its students. However, 0.1% of students who received the best grades in the subjects would receive merit certificates from CBSE.
Thiruvananthapuram has the highest pass rate, with 99.91% of students passing the exam there. Prayagraj is at the bottom of the list with 78.05 per cent.
