Bishnoi gang’s rival group fires at Delhi businessman’s house to extort money

New Delhi: Footage appeared on social media showed members of a gang firing at the residence of a businessman in North West Delhi's Rani Bagh, NDTV reported.

Two bike-borne men reportedly belonging to the Bambiha Gang—a rival group of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi—was seen firing eight rounds at the house.

It began with one of the men throwing a chit reading 'Bambiha Gang' inside the house. Following which the gangster opened fire.

It is reported citing officials that the group made the video of the act, which was later sent to the US.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 8.40 pm on October 26.

The shooters identified as Bilal Ansari (22) and Shuheb (21) were trying to extort ₹ 15 crores from the businessman, according to the police.

Later, the Special Cell of the Delhi police was alerted on the intervening night of 28 and 29 about the shooters going to Delhi’s Kakrola area to meet their associates.

News agency PTI reported that police set up a stakeout of the area around 2:15 am.

When the shooters turned up at the area on their bike police gave them warning to stop but the gangsters tried to flee, taking U-turn but slipped and fell.

As the police team encircled them, one of the shooters pulled out a pistol and shot at the officials.

When the police fired back in self-defence, one of the accused got injured in his leg.

Police arrested both the shooters and recovered from them semi-automatic pistol, a single-shot firearm, and six live cartridges.
