Bihar extends lockdown till May 25

The Nitish Kumar government on Thursday decided to extend the lockdown in Bihar by ten more days, from May 16 to May 25. Bihar government had initially imposed the lockdown on May 5 till May 15.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tweeted, "The infection rate has reduced during the lockdown period in Bihar with cases falling below the 10,000 mark in one day. It is helping break the chain of Corona in Bihar. Hence we have decided to extend the lockdown till May 25."

The covid positive cases in the state have been reducing in the last nine consecutive days and fell below the 10,000 mark for the first time in the state after 22 days on Wednesday.
