New Delhi: Chandrashekhar Azad, the leader of the Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party, was shot at by armed men in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday, suffering just minor injuries.
According to the authorities, Azad was shot in the waist and is now being treated at the Deoband Hospital, Indian Express reported.
“Half an hour back, the convoy of Chandrashekhar Azad was fired at by a few car-borne armed men. A bullet brushed past him. He is alright and has been taken to CHC for medical treatment. Police are investigating the matter,” SSP Dr Vipin Tada said.
