New Delhi: Ankita Bhandari--whose death led to the arrest of Uttarakhand BJP leader's son Pulkit Arya--reportedly revealed to her close friends that the owner and managers of the resort, owned by Pulkit Arya himself where she was a receptionist, pressured her to provide 'special services' to clients.
She was quoted as saying to her friend on WhatsApp that though she was poor, but she wouldn't sell herself for Rs 10,000, according to a report in India Today.
Ankita Bhandari had gone missing on September 18 and was found drowned in a canal sparking outrage in Uttarakhand Pulkit Arya and two employees of a resort he owns were arrested for allegedly killing Ankita
Meanwhile, the autopsy found her died of drowning and there were findings of injuries on the body before death, suggestive of blunt force trauma, according to India Today.
Police reportedly said that Ankita accompanied Pulkit Arya, resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar, and another accused named Ankit, alias Pulkit Gupta to Rishikesh on the night on September 18 at around 8 o'clock.
As they were returning, the trio stopped to drink alcohol by a canal along Chila Road with Ankita waiting for them.
Later a quarrel broke out between three men and Ankita as she accused them of carrying out illicit activities at the resort. As she threatened to go public with their activities, the three allegedly pushed the girl into the canal, according to the report.
Having presented before the court on Friday, all three men were sent to 14 days of judicial custody.
