Ayurvedic Medical Science to Join Hands in Developing Corona Vaccine

The medical world is in the race to develop a safe and effective vaccine to stop counter coronavirus, the ministry of AYUSH (Ayurvedic, Unani, Sidha and Homeopathy) has nodded heads for a new study to discover the presence of a curative in Ayurvedic medical science.

The study will be a combined effort of CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) and AIIA (All India Institute of Ayurveda).

The group of specialists will work with the decoction extracted from ayurvedic medicinal plants Justitia Adhatoda and Tinospora Cordifolia to learn more about its the ability to ease pain and suffocations in the patients.

Justitia Adhatoda is commonly used as a curative to many disordered affection lungs while Tinospora Cordifolia is used for fever and cold.

The report formulated by the team will go under the strict scrutiny of experts from various fields. Researchers from Kerala will co-operate with the mission.

Earlier the Kerala High court had clarified that AYUSH practitioners are allowed to prescribe medication as immunity boosters amidst the COVID pandemic, however, they are forbidden from prescribing any medication as curative for COVID-19.
