Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi has lost the Jorhat seat to BJP’s Hitendra Nath Goswami by a margin of 23,182 votes

Guwahati: Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi has lost the Jorhat seat to BJP’s Hitendra Nath Goswami by a margin of 23,182 votes. The BJP has also won in Dhemaji and Sissibargaon.

The party is leading in other key constituencies, including Jalukbari, where Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is in the fray. Pradyut Bordoloi, a former Congress leader now contesting on a BJP ticket, is also leading in Dispur.
