New Delhi: The Indian army has deployed state-of-the-art smart fences equipped with advanced sensor and CCTV camera technologies to thwart infiltration attempts along the Line of Control (LoC).
It was confirmed by Jammu-based army public relations officer Lt Col Suneel Bartwal during a media visit to the forward areas in the Akhnoor and Poonch sectors.
The integration of these smart fences stands as a testament to the army's commitment to employing technological advancements in its operations along the LoC. Lt Col Bartwal highlighted that the innovative sensor systems and CCTV cameras, designed to detect even the slightest movement, promptly send alerts to the control centre, leaving little room for infiltration.
The army's dedication to safeguarding the nation's borders is reflected in its proactive adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative strategies. The showcased technologies and equipment underscore the convergence of traditional methods with modern innovation, painting a comprehensive picture of the contemporary Indian soldier's multifaceted role.

During the media interaction, soldiers also provided insights into their rigorous training routines. Lt Col Bartwal shed light on the challenging conditions soldiers face daily, navigating harsh terrains and unpredictable weather.
