Army foils infiltration bid in J&K’s Rajouri, 2 militants killed

Jammu: Army troops foiled an infiltration attempt from Pakistan into Nowshera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing two militants along the Line of Control on Monday morning, The Indian Express reported.

It is reported that a large quantity of weapons including two AK-47s and one pistol has been recovered from them.

White Knight Corps based at Nagrota in a post on platform X said that an anti-filtration operation was launched based on inputs from intelligence agencies about a likely bid.

The infiltration bid comes as the Assembly election are nearing in J&K with Rajouri is going to polls on September 25.

Meanwhile, a gunfight was reported September 3 between security forces and suspected militants near the Thanamandi town.
