Anupam Kher calls Kangana ‘rockstar', mollywood stars congratulate Suresh Gopi

New Delhi: Anupam Kher congratulated his Bollywood fellow actor Kangana Ranaut for her victory in Mandi in Himachal Pradesh in the Lok Sabha polls, The Indian Express reported.  

The 2024 polls had many actors in fray and a few of them made it to the parliament which include Kerala actor Suresh Gopi and Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan.

Kangana marked her electoral debut by winning the seat with a resounding margin of 74,755 votes.

Suresh Gopi made history as the BJP’s first Lok Sabha MP from Kerala, winning the Thrissur by 74,686 votes.

JanaSena Party chief Pawan Kalyan won the Pithapuram Assembly constituency with a margin of over 70,000 votes.

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher congratulated Kangana calling her ‘rockstar’ and shared a video featuring the actress with her mother.

He wrote: “My dearest #Kangana! CONGRATULATIONS on your HUGE Victory! You are a #ROCKSTAR. Your journey is so so inspirational! So happy for you and the people of #Mandi and #HimachalPradesh. You have proved time and again that if one is focused and works hard toh kuch bhi hosakta hai. Jai Ho! #MemberParliament #KanganaRanaut #Winner”.

As Suresh Gopi celebrated his win, prominent Malayalam actors Mammootty and Mohanlal congratulated him, with the former posting: “Hearty congrats dear Suresh on your victory.”

Suresh Gopi, who acted in over 250 films including his presence in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films, is also a playback singer and television presenter. His last film, Garudan (2023), received positive reviews.
