Dehradun: The founder cum brand ambassador of Patanjali Ayurved, Baba Ramdev, claimed on Monday that allopathy medicine is cruelty, violence, and a crime against humanity, The Indian Express reported.
Speaking at an 'International Conference on Modernization of Traditional Indian Medicine', held at the Patanjali Yogpeeth, the Yoga guru also claimed that to save humanity, the world must return to Yoga, Ayurveda, naturopathy and Indian culture. The concept of natural medicine, natural herbs and natural food was not a religious agenda but the world's need.
The conference, to run for three days, was organised as part of the 50th birthday of Patanjali Yogpeeth cofounder Acharya Balkrishnam, Ramdev's close aid.
Ramdev said that Yogpeeth is doing its job great under the leadership of Balkrishna, claiming that the institution has cured liver psoriasis and type-one diabetes.
He said that allopathy people make medicines to target particular human parts like the brain, liver, kidney, heart, specific muscles, bone etc., they target specific proteins. The human body, with the entire universe inside it, cannot be treated with targeting protein, he claimed. They are 'aviveki' (indiscriminate) people, and modern science is in its infancy, thus, what allopathy does is unacceptable, he argued.
He said that allopathy argues that when if one targets more than a single unit of body, it is not medicine but stupidity.
He claimed that treatment for all medicine existed, exists or will exist in Yoga.
According to him, Patanjali is determined to create a happy, prosperous and healthy India, along with the world. One day, patients with type-1 diabetes, liver/kidney failure, heart blockage etc., will go to Patanjali Yogpeeth, while allopathy will be left with minor surgeries alone.
Later, he talked about organic farming and said that India, as well as the world, needs to maintain the fertility of the land and save it from malnutrition. Malnutrition of land leads to the same in humans, and fertilisers now used are poisons, destroying lands and destroying humans in the end. In the coming days, the world will return to nature, he claimed.
