New Delhi: Two days after a Sharjah flight required emergency landing in Kochi, another flight from Calicut to Dubai developed glitch on Sunday.
An Air India Express aircraft VT-AXX operating flight IX-355 (Calicut-Dubai) was diverted to Muscat, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India Today reports.
A burning smell was detected from a vent in the forward galley during cruise. The cause of the burning is unknown.
On Friday an inbound Air Arabia flight from Sharjah suffered hydraulic failure, requiring emergency landing.
Following which, a full emergency was declared at the Kochi airport and all the passengers were safe, PTI reported.
