AIMIM chief Owaisi dares BJP to launch ‘surgical strike on China’

Sangareddy (Telangana): Asaduddin Owaisi, leader of All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), dared the BJP to launch a surgical strike on China.

Owaisi was responding to the BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay's previous statement that his party would conduct a surgical strike on the Old City once winning the Hyderabad civic polls, news agency ANI reported.

Bandi Sanjay accused in 2020 that the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and AIMIM Chief Owaisi of trying to win the polls with Rohingya, Pakistani and Afghanistani voters.

Campaigning in the city, Kumar was quoted as saying: ‘GHMC polls should be conducted without voters from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Rohingyas. We will conduct a surgical strike in Old City once we win the polls’.

The AIMIM chief invoked Sanjay’s remarks on Tuesday addressing a gathering in Sangareddy, and dared saffron party to launch a surgical strike on China .

Owaisi also took time off to attack Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s charge that the AIMIM chief and Telangana Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao were having a ‘covert understanding’.

Shah brought up the allegation of ‘understanding’ between Asadusddin Owaisi and KCR while addressing the BJP 'Sankalp Sabha' at Chevella in Karnataka on April 23.

Back then Shah was quoted as saying that ‘A government, whose steering wheel is with Majlis (Owaisi), can never run Telangana. We are not afraid of the Majlis, Majlis is a compulsion for you (BRS), not for BJP. The government of Telangana should work for the people of the state, not for Owaisi’.

The AIMIM chief in reply asked Shah why he would have to feel the pain if the steering wheel was in his (Owaisi’s) hand.
