Amritsar: Three children chasing their big dream ended up in trouble.

They all wanted to sing on a television contest and hopped on a train to Mumbai.

There was not enough money, and they did not know where they were actually heading for.

Government Railways Police (GRP) on Tuesday spotted three ticketless kids at Pathankot railway station in Punjab, according to The Indian Express.

Aiming Mumbai, they boarded a wrong train to Punjab. Two of them were nine years old while the third was 16.

Pathankot Sub Division Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ranbir reportedly said that the kids were fascinated by a singing contest on television and they caught a train to Mumbai but ended up at the Pathankot railway station.

The kid were hungry and crying, kicking around the trains, according to report. Police comforted them, giving them food before alerting each of their family.

The teenager tossed out the idea of the singing contest. They reached Pathankot, panicking and hopeless, the teenager called up his uncle from a passenger's phone to tell about the trip, according to the official.

The uncle called the passenger to inform they were missing and requested for the help of local police.

Then we took custody of children and asked the parents to come to Pathankot." the DSP said.

The DSP said they children were taken into custody and their parents were asked to come to Pathankot.
