Jaipur: Rajasthan Police informed that a boy strangled an eight-year-old to death in Bhilwara district after she resisted his attempt to rape her, PTI reported.
They said that girl's body was found in cattle shed on Monday.
According to the complaint lodged by the girl's mother, the accused allegedly tried to rape his daughter and strangled her to death when she resisted, police said.
According to them, the girl's mother filed a complaint with the police, and in which she alleged that her daughter was strangled by the 17-year-old boy when she resisted the rape attempt.
Police have registered a case of kidnap, rape attempt and murder, they said. The boy is missing, and police have started proceedings to arrest him.
After the postmortem, the girl's body was handed over to her relatives on Tuesday.
