Thalapathy Vijay's final film "Thalapathy 69" to feature Bobby Deol as the villain

"Thalapathy 69," the much-anticipated final film of Tamil cinema superstar Thalapathy Vijay, has created excitement as it approaches its release.

This movie will be Vijay's last project before he transitions into his political career with his newly launched party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which he announced earlier this year in February.

Fans of the actor are eagerly awaiting this cinematic farewell.

Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, fresh off winning the IIFA award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for Animal, has been confirmed as the antagonist in this pan-India production. The film's creators took to X (formerly Twitter) to officially announce Bobby's inclusion, sharing, "100% official now, Super happy & excited to announce that @thedeol joins #Thalapathy69 cast #Thalapathy69CastReveal."

Known for his versatility, Bobby Deol is expected to bring a fresh and dynamic energy to this high-stakes action film, which is being directed by H. Vinoth. The film is set to be released on a large scale in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, ensuring a pan-Indian experience for audiences across the country.

Vijay was last seen in The GOAT by Venkat Prabhu, where he delivered a powerful performance in dual roles. In this upcoming project, Thalapathy 69, Vijay is expected to go out with a bang, capping off his illustrious career spanning over three decades.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, with music composed by Anirudh, Thalapathy 69 is scheduled to release in October 2025.
