Taylor Swift's Midnights claims top 10 on Billboard Hot 100

American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift created history when her latest album Midnights claimed the entire top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in a single week. The record previously belonged to Drake who had nine songs on the list in 2021.

Leading the prestigious chart is Anti-Hero with 59.7 million streams and 32 million in airplay audience and 13,500 sold. It is followed by Lavender Haze (41.4 million/2.4 million/ 2,800) and Maroon (37.6 million/471,000/2,900). The fourth spot was taken by Snow on the Beach, Swift's collaboration with Lana Del Ray. It was followed by Midnight Rain, Bejeweled, Question...?, You're on Your Own, Karma, and Vigilante Shit.

All 20 songs from the album Midnights debuted on the Hot 100. Mastermind, Labyrinth, and Sweet Nothings were ranked 13, 14, and 15 respectively. Would've, Could've, Should've and Bigger Than The Whole Sky ranked in 20th and 21st spots. The Great War, Paris, High Infidelity, Glitch, and Dear reader ranked 26, 32, 22, 41, and 45. She now has 40 Hot 100 Top 10 which surpasses other iconic singers like Madonna (38), The Beatles (34), Rihanna (31), and Michael Jackson (30).

The iconic singer took to Twitter to celebrate the news and wrote: "10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES."

Midnights is a concept album about nocturnal contemplation and it was inspired by "13 sleepless nights" of her life. Swift has drawn inspiration from the glamarous visual aesthetic of the 1970s for the album. Its cryptic lyrics discuss self-criticism, self-assurance, insecurity, anxiety, and insomnia.
