Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki" poster revealed, release date announced

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently enjoying the success of his recent release, Jawan, is gearing up for his upcoming project, "Dunki."

This comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani marks a highly anticipated collaboration between SRK and Hirani. Exciting news has surfaced as the international release poster of "Dunki" is now available.

The international release of "Dunki" is set for December 21, 2023, just a day ahead of its Indian premiere.

The recently unveiled international release poster offers a tantalising glimpse into the film's atmosphere. The poster showcases the back view of Shah Rukh Khan's character, adorned in military attire, clutching a bag and various items. A camouflaged bag rests on his back as he stands before an expansive desert landscape, with distant figures visible.

Dunki is co-authored by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon.

Rajkumar Hirani, in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, takes the director's seat for this project. The movie boasts an ensemble cast including SRK, Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Dharmendra, Satish Shah, Parikshit Sahni, and Vicky Kaushal in a cameo role.

The film explores the theme of illegal immigration, specifically focusing on a method known as "Donkey Flight." Indian audiences can anticipate its theatrical release on December 22, 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan's last appearance on the big screen was in Atlee's action thriller, "Jawan," which debuted in September. The film achieved international box office success, crossing the thousand-crore mark. "Jawan" also featured renowned actors such as Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani.

Earlier in the year, SRK made his comeback after a five-year hiatus with Siddharth Anand's "Pathaan," which co-starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in significant roles. The film became a substantial financial hit.
