Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar" trailer unveiled

The much-anticipated trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grand project, "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar," has been released, offering a captivating glimpse into the opulent world of the series.

Set to premiere on May 1st on Netflix, the trailer showcases the splendid setting of Shahi Mahal, where Manisha Koirala's character, Mallikajaan, reigns over a house of courtesans.

Introducing the mesmerizing courtesans of Heeramandi, portrayed by Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh, the trailer exudes unmatched beauty and grandeur. However, tensions arise when Sonakshi Sinha's character, Fareedan, enters the scene, threatening the tranquility of Mallikajaan's domain.

Amidst internal conflicts, the backdrop of the series also features the turmoil of India's fight for liberation from British rule.

Aditi Rao Hydari's character, Bibbojaan, urges the courtesans to align their thoughts with patriotism, stating, "I gave up being civil and love gave up on me...now only revolution will give purpose to my life."

The trailer delves into themes of love, freedom, and power struggles. It also portrays Sharmin's quest for love, Aditi's fight for freedom, and the epic clash between Manisha and Sonakshi's characters.
