Actress Priyanka Chopra is embarking on a new venture as she lends her voice to Disneynature's upcoming film "Tiger."
Describing the narrative as deeply relatable, Chopra believes it will strike a chord with mothers everywhere.
In an announcement by Disney, it was revealed that Priyanka Chopra will narrate the captivating story of "Tiger," a film that explores the world of one of Earth's most revered creatures. The storyline follows Ambar, a young tigress raising her cubs in the renowned forests of India.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Chopra stated, "It’s just wonderful to be able to be a part of something so special and to tell the story of this magnificent animal that comes from my country. I was very honored."
Reflecting on the narrative's appeal, she added, "I have always loved tigers and I feel a kinship with the female tiger. I feel very protective of my family. Ambar’s journey is something I think every mom would really relate to."
According to Disney, the film depicts the cubs' journey, highlighting their curiosity, playfulness, and the valuable lessons they learn from their mother, who is determined to protect them from various dangers in the wild.
"Tiger" is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on Earth Day, April 22, 2024.
Directed by Mark Linfield, co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz and Rob Sullivan, and produced by Linfield, Berlowitz, and Roy Conli, the film promises to offer an immersive experience into the world of these majestic creatures.
In addition to "Tiger," viewers can also anticipate another Disneynature production titled "Tigers on the Rise," streaming on Earth Day.
Narrated by Blair Underwood, this companion film celebrates the remarkable resurgence of one of the world's most iconic animals, directed by Rob Sullivan, co-directed by Alistair Tones, and produced by Sullivan, Vanessa Berlowitz, Mark Linfield, and Roy Conli.
