Prabhas donates Rs 2 crore to Kerala CM Relief Fund for Wayanad landslide victims

Telugu superstar Prabhas has generously contributed Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) to aid rehabilitation efforts for the victims of the devastating landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, which occurred on July 30.

Known for his recent role in the 3D sci-fi film "Kalki 2898 AD," which grossed over Rs 1,000 crore worldwide, Prabhas's donation was confirmed by a source close to him. "Prabhas today donated Rs 2 crore to Kerala CM relief fund for Wayanad landslide victims," the source said.

The landslides in Mundakkai and Chooralmala areas have resulted in 226 fatalities, with ongoing search-and-rescue operations.

Prabhas joins a list of prominent film personalities who are contributing to relief efforts. On Sunday, fellow Telugu stars Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Allu Arjun also announced their donations to the CMDRF. Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan donated Rs 1 crore each, while Allu Arjun pledged Rs 25 lakh.

Additionally, numerous Malayalam and Tamil film stars have made contributions to the CMDRF. This includes Malayalam actors Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya, and Tovino Thomas, as well as Tamil actors Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Jyotika, Karthi, Vikram, Nayanthara, and Vignesh Sivan. Noted filmmaker Anand Patwardhan also joined in supporting the relief efforts.
