Mumbai: Actor Payal Ghosh is willing to apologise for her statements against actor Richa Chadha and withdraw the same, the Bombay High Court was told on Wednesday.
The submission was made before Justice A K Menon, in the civil defamation suit filed by Chadha seeking Rupees 1.1 Crore damages.
Chadha's lawyer submitted that the issue of the settlement could be hammered out by Monday.
The Court passed an order of temporary injunction barring media from sharing or circulating the comments against Richa Chadha.
Ghosh has been asked to sort out the settlement with Chadha before October 12, when the Court will consider the matter next.
Chadha's name was dragged by Ghosh into the allegations of sexual assault levelled by her against director Anurag Kashyap.
While the High Court was considering the plea to withdraw the allegations, Ghosh tweeted that her fight is against Anurag Kashyap only and had nothing against Chadha.
I hv nothing to do wd Ms Chadda. We as women hv got 2stand wd each other, shoulder to shoulder.I don't want any unintentional harrasment to her or me on this matter. My fight 4justice is against only Mr. Kashyap &I want 2focus solely on dt ryt now.Lets make d world c his true face.
