Kunal Khemu to turn director with Madgaon Express

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kunal Khemu is all set to make his directorial debut with a film called 'Madgaon Express'. He shared the news on Twitter on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

He posted an announcement poster and wrote: "Ganpati Bappa moriya. As all good things begin with his name I can't think of a better day to share this with all of you. It started with a thought in my head which grew into a dream which flowed out through my fingers into words on my laptop and now it is becoming a reality on its way to the silver screen."

The actor thanked producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and wrote: "A big thank you to Ritesh, Farhan and Rucha at excel entertainment for believing in my script and my vision and partnering with me on this exciting journey in the world of cinema. With joined hands and a bowed head, I seek all of your blessings and the blessings of Ganpati Bappa. Introducing Madgaon Express."

Details about the film including the plot and release date have not been revealed yet.

Kunal Khemu is familiar to audiences as he has been working in the industry since childhood. His first appearance was in a Doordarshan TV series called Gul Gulshan Gulfam. He was a child artist in films like Raja Hindustani, Zakhm, Bhai, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, and Dushman. In 2005, he debuted as lead actor in Kalyug by Mohit Suri. He went on to work in successful films like Traffic Signal, Blood Money, and Go Goa Gone.
