Netflix has dropped the full-length trailer of 'Khakee: The Bihar Chapter' and the crime drama unveils the true story of a criminal and cop. The short video shows actors Karan Tacker and Avinash Tiwary playing two men with very different sets of ideologies.
Based on IPS officer Amit Lodha's book, Bihar Diaries: The True Story of How Bihar's Most Dangerous Criminal Was Caught, starts with a police officer Lodha who wants to make a difference in society. He is heard saying: "I want to make a difference and not a small one." He is also seen taking charge of the police force of Sheikhpura, Bihar.
The video then shows Chandan Mahto played by Tiwary who becomes a gang lord speaking at a political campaign and asking people to join his cause. The film is a showdown between Lodha and Mahto. The events of the plot took place between 2000 and 2006.
Director Bhrav Dhulia said the team decided to bring to life Amit Lodha's story based on his book. "We knew we had to work extremely hard considering the vision that we were working on. At the core of it, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is a strong character drama that not only tells the tale of good vs evil but also how they use each other to survive."
Khakee: The Bihar Chapter will start streaming on Netflix on November 25.
