KH 234, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's new movie, is now titled Thug Life

The official title of Kamal Haasan's highly anticipated film directed by Mani Ratnam has been revealed. Thug Life is the title of the 234th movie starring Vikram. Kamal Haasan shared the first look poster and a sneak peek of the actor fighting villains in a very martial arts kind of way.

In the nearly three-minute-long video for the title announcement, Kamal Haasan introduces himself as Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakan. He is seen standing in the middle of a large, desolate area with torn clothing, saying that people have come to believe that he is a criminal and a yakuza (Japanese for "gangster)." He prepares to face an army of goons as the conch blows. He kills them all and says his name again, the New Indian Express reported.

Thug Life is the second film that iconic actor Kamal Haasan and acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam have worked on together, following the 1987 blockbuster Nayakan. Dulquer Salmaan, Jayam Ravi, and Trisha are among the cast members of Thug Life. The director was shown in the location during an earlier teaser trailer that the producers had published. Kamal's Raaj Kamal Film International, Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies, and Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies will co-produce the movie.

The music for the movie will be composed by AR Rahman, who last scored his Tenali in 2001. Sreekar Prasad will edit the film, while Ravi K. Chandran will handle the cinematography. The film's action choreography will be handled by Anbariv.

After starring in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram (2022), Kamal Haasan is currently working on several other projects. In Shankar's Indian 2, he will play Senapathy once more. Recently, the intro for the same was released. He will also play a significant part in Nag Ashwin's film Kalki 2898 AD. Kamal will also be the lead in H Vinoth's untitled KH 233.
