Actress and former Big Boss contestant Jayashree Ramaiah has reportedly died by suicide in the old-age home where she resided in Janapriya Township in Bangalore. The actress' body was found this morning.
In July last year, she had confessed to struggling with depression for a long time. In a Facebook Live captioned "I quit. Goodbye to the world and depression", Ramaiah begged for a "mercy killing" and said she was unable to face her life anymore.
"I am not doing all of these for publicity sake...I am only expecting my death as I am unable to battle depression," the actress was heard saying. "I am financially strong but depressed. I have been going through a lot of personal issues. I have been betrayed since childhood and unable to overcome it."
She later posted about feeling better after the host of Bigg Boss Kannada Kicha Sudeep reached out to her. Her last film, 'Olledellapo', remains unreleased.
