New Delhi: Bollywood action hero John Abraham told IANS that he is donning a "super-soldier" in his upcoming release "Attack". The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on April 1.
John Abraham said that the art for warfare and rules of engagement have changed today as the world wishes for less collateral damage. "We want to make sure there is as much less collateral damage in the world as possible which is why we wanted to do an action film with a difference because we have done many action films ... action can be different, we can be different... When I say we, I mean the Entertainment production house," he said.
The film's plot revolves around John's character, who does the character of a veteran soldier battling his inner demons. He joints a government-led experiment and becomes a cybertronic humanoid super-soldier developed to combat terrorism.
"We wanted to make something very unique. The action has to have a unique selling proposition, and we thought of a concept of a super soldier," he said.
He further said that when they started the project, he felt it so far fetched. But now it is a reality and "is just around the corner".
The movie is directed by Lakshya Raj Anand, while part one of the film features Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj, Ratna Pathak Shah. Dr Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), John Abraham (JA Entertainment), and Ajay Kapoor Productions finance the movie.
