The reported incident of actor-turned-politician and newly elected member of parliament, Kangana Ranaut, being slapped by a CISF official at the Chandigarh airport resulted in the detention and suspension of the woman constable, Kulwinder Kaur. However, soon after the report of her suspension, Kaur received a job offer from Bollywood in case she lost her job due to the incident.
Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani, taking to Instagram, expressed his support for the constable, promising that he would help her find employment if she faced repercussions from CISF. He emphasized that while he does not condone violence, he understands the underlying emotions that might have led to the incident.
Posting the video report of the incident, Dadlani wrote “I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need for this @official_cisf personnel’s anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan.”
Reports suggest that Kaur allegedly slapped Ranaut as she was preparing to board a flight to New Delhi on Tuesday. Upon her arrival at Indira Gandhi Airport, Ranaut filed a complaint, leading to Kaur's detention and subsequent suspension.
Ranaut, who recently won a Lok Sabha seat from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency as a BJP candidate, issued a statement to assure her supporters of her safety following the altercation. The political ramifications of the incident add a layer of complexity, given her recent victory over Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh.
