Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh's war of words with actress Kangana Ranaut is continuing on Twitter with the singer responding to her latest allegations with a tweet that stressed the unity of Indians and alleged that "some people just want to light a fire."
"Don't spread hate. Karma is a very important thing. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jain, Buddhist... We are all one, that's what we've been taught since we were kids. Even today, people of all faiths work on the same film set, like family," Diljit tweeted.
The retort came after Kanagana Ranaut posted a video over the weekend in which she alleged that she had faced "emotional and mental lynching" online as well as numerous death and rape threats related to her comments on the farmers' protests that rocked Delhi over the past month.
The actress openly criticised Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and Priyanka Chopra, alleging that their intentions in supporting the protests were suspect but that she (Ranaut) had to constantly prove her patriotism.
The actress and the singer have been engaged in a very public spat after she had earlier claimed that protestors in the farrmers' march were for-hire artists that had also been seen at the Shaheen Bagh protests.
