Mumbai: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra said her new film 'Code Name: Tiranga' is dedicated to the unsung heroes of India whose sacrifices protect the nation. The movie is about a spy on a risky mission to save her country.
She told IANS that "Code Name: Tiranga is dedicated to all the unsung protectors of India like our brave soldiers, our daredevil agents, and every single person who has sacrificed everything to protect our country! I have always been fascinated by such people all my life."
"For me, to be doing a film in which I pay tribute to these warriors of our nation is a matter of great pride and honour. Their lives have inspired us to be better human beings and we are all indebted to them for their courage and valour that has saved our country countless times," she added.
The Ribhu Dasgupta directorial's trailer hinted at several action-packed scenes. Parineeti's Durga appears to be a powerful and emotional character. The trailer, also starring Harrdy Sandhu, has garnered positive reception.
The actress told PTI that she pushed her body for the physically challenging performance. "I have pushed myself and my body for this intensely physically challenging film but I have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. I had always wanted to present myself in an entirely new way on screen with the action genre and I couldn't have found a better film to do the same because it has allowed me to express myself freely and show audiences what I can do when presented with an opportunity like this."
