AR Rahman to perform at Attari Border in tribute to BSF personnel

Oscar and Grammy-winning composer A. R. Rahman will perform at Punjab's Attari Border on June 7 as part of a special tribute to the Border Security Force (BSF).

The event, titled Jai Ho: A Tribute to the Bravehearts, has been organised by the team behind filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga.

According to organisers, the performance will take place during the retreat parade ceremony at JCP Stadium at the Attari Border between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm. The programme is intended to honour BSF personnel for their service in protecting India's borders.

The event takes its name from Rahman's internationally acclaimed song Jai Ho and is being presented as a musical salute to the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the force.

Rahman will be joined by members of the Main Vaapas Aaunga team, including Imtiaz Ali, actor Vedang Raina, and singers Mohit Chauhan, Pooja Tiwari, and Nargis. Representatives from Birla Studios, Applause Entertainment, and producer Mohit Choudhary's team are also expected to attend.

The upcoming film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari. Set against the backdrop of the Partition, the film explores themes of love, separation, and remembrance.

Organisers said the event will combine music and patriotism at one of India's most prominent border landmarks.
