Ant-Man And The Wasp Quantumania see dull box office day, numbers may drop on day 3

Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is not doing very well at the Indian box office. On its second day, the film only saw a 5-7% growth and numbers are expected to drop on day three.

The collection on the second day is not bad but the trajectory is not promising. It earned around Rs 9.25 crore nett on the second day which makes the two-day total Rs 18 crore nett. And Saturday is usually the most lucrative day for most Hollywood films.

Even with the drop, a three-day weekend may result in a total collection of Rs 26-27 cr nett which is a decent opening weekend. Marvel films usually bring a lot of people to the theatre but Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania is anticipated to get a lifetime total of Rs 50 cr nett in India if the current trajectory persists.

In India, Marvel films have been seeing a decline in popularity despite the strong ecosystem the studio has built, reported Pinkvilla. "From Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the collections are going down with each film." Being the first film in Phase 5, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania was expected to lay the foundation for upcoming films.

However, the film is doing just fine in the West and has grossed $33.8 million on Saturday and $46 million on Friday.
