Hyderabad: Actor Adivi Sesh has surfaced with the announcement that shooting of the sequel to his superhit spy thriller 'Goodachari' has begun in Hyderabad. The movie, 'G2' or 'Goodachari 2', is directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi.
Expectations for the sequel have been high since the first look of the movie was released. The project is being done at international standards, and a lavish five-floor glass set has been constructed for the film's shoot in Hyderabad, reports IANS.
The movie will feature Banita Sandhu in the leading role.
Dressed in a crisp suit, the 'Major' actor took to Instagram and made this announcement.
Adivi wrote: "It Begins. MASSIVE. This is how we do it."
He even shared a picture of the clapboard.
'G2' is a spy thriller, which is the next instalment in the successful 'Goodachari' franchise.
It is a story of a spy who is on a mission to fight for his nation outside of India.
The film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under the banner of People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments.
The first instalment in the series was released in 2018, where Adivi Sesh plays Gopi, a new recruit to the RAW. On his graduation day, he is implicated in a plot to kill two RAW officials. Declared a wanted terrorist, Gopi fights to clear his name and find the people responsible, which is how the plot goes. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the movie cast Sobhita Dhulipala, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj, with Supriya Yarlagadda, Vennela Kishore, Anish Kuruvilla, Rakesh Varre, and Madhu Shalini in supporting roles.
