Nearly 10,000 women are set to be employed at Ola Electric's facility, which is expected to be the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturing when it opens.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Electric's Chairman and Group CEO, stated on Monday that the company's Future factory in Tamil Nadu will be controlled exclusively by women. This will be the "world's largest all-women factory," according to Aggarwal.
Aggarwal publicised the news on social media, saying, "Aatmanirbhar Bharat requires Aatmanirbhar ladies!".In Ola Electric's production factory, the first wave of women employees has already been listed.
"This is the first in a series of initiatives we are undertaking at Ola to create a more inclusive workforce and provide economic opportunities for women across the board. We have invested significantly to train and upskill them in core manufacturing skills and they will be responsible for the entire production of every vehicle manufactured at Ola Futurefactory." Aggarwal said.
It was announced that Ola Electric would introduce its first electric vehicle, the Ola S1 electric scooter, on August 15, 2021. A price of 1,29,999 has been set for the top-spec Ola S1 Pro (Ex-showroom).In terms of performance, range, colours, and riding modes, the two models differ, but they have a similar design on the outside and inside.
After experiencing some technical difficulties with its website, the business decided to postpone sales of its electric scooters for a week. It is anticipated that sales will commence on September 15, 2021, with Ola Electric adopting an online-only buying approach.
