Bengaluru: Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola Electric, recently shared a heartwarming announcement on his Twitter handle, introducing the company's newest employee, Bijlee. This unique employee happens to be a dog, whose name translates to 'electricity' in English, perfectly aligning with the company's focus on electric mobility.
In the viral Twitter post, Aggarwal shared an adorable photo of Bijlee along with its official Ola Electric ID card. The card bears Bijlee's employee code as '440 V,' cleverly referencing the standard voltage in electrical systems. Notably, the card even mentions the dog's blood group as 'paw+ve,' playfully alluding to 'positive' and humorously referring to its paws.
According to the ID card details, Bijlee's human colleagues can contact him through the 'Slack' instant messaging platform. The company has listed Bijlee's emergency contact as BA's office, presumably indicating Bhavish Aggarwal's initials. The address on the ID card confirms that Bijlee is officially part of the Ola Electric office located on Hosur Road, specifically in the Koramangala workplace.
The heartwarming Twitter post's caption reads, "New colleague now officially!" Since its posting, the announcement has garnered more than 142,000 likes and a plethora of endearing comments from delighted netizens.
One user expressed, "Bijlee Nailed it."
Another user likened Bijlee to the famous movie character, "Like the name. Like Bolt from the movie."
A third user playfully remarked, "This is Bijlee's world, we are all just living in it."
This isn't the first time that Bhavish Aggarwal has showcased dogs at the Ola workplace. In a previous tweet, he shared a photo capturing a glimpse of his office morning routine, with three dogs comfortably sleeping and relaxing on sofas inside the Ola office. "Mornings at the office," read the caption.
Bhavish Aggarwal's affectionate inclusion of furry friends in the office environment has certainly struck a chord with netizens.
