LPG price hike again: cooking gas cylinder to cost Rs 25 higher

New Delhi: Oil companies on Monday increased cooking gas price by Rs 25 per litre. New cylinder weighing 14.2 kg will now cost Rs 819 in Delhi.

Price in other cities will also go up though the net price will vary according to state taxes and transport costs.

Over the last few weeks, cooking gas price has been going high with frequent increase hitting the common man.

In the month of February alone, cooking gas price rose steeply by over Rs 100 a cylinder. Today's increase is second hike in four days. The most recent hike was just three daysgo, that too by Rs 25 per cylinder, and which was the third hike in the month of February. Earlier, the prices were increased on February 4 and February 14 by Rs Rs 25 and Rs 50, respectively.

Since December cooking gas price has been hiked by Rs 200 per cylinder.
