Malappuram: The construction of HiLITE Centre, a shopping mall by HiLITE Group, was inaugurated today in Nilambur. Once completed, this mall will be the largest in the Malappuram district, marking a significant addition to the region's commercial landscape.

Salim, Business person Karadan Sulaiman, HiLITE Group Chairman P. Sulaiman, Group CEO Ajil Muhammed, HiLITE Builders CEO Mohamed Fazeem, HiLITE Urban CEO Muhamed Fawaz, and Group Director Nima Sulaiman attended the ceremony.
HiLITE Centre Nilambur will be the group’s seventh retail venture, following projects such as Focus Mall, HiLITE Mall Kozhikode, HiLITE Mall Thrissur, HiLITE Countryside Chemmad, HiLITE Centre Mannarkad, and HiLITE Boulevard Kochi.
HiLITE Group, which pioneered mall culture in Kerala with the launch of Focus Mall in 2007, is now actively pursuing its vision of delivering international shopping experiences to towns and cities across the state. The group categorizes its malls based on location. In medium-sized cities like Nilambur, they are named ‘HiLITE Centre’, while in smaller towns, such as Chemmad, they are named ‘HiLITE Countryside’.
The HiLITE Centre in Nilambur is set to become the district's largest mall, spanning 8.65 acres. With a built-up area of 7.15 lakh sq ft, it will offer a 45,000 sq ft hypermarket, the five-screen multiplex Palaxi Cinemas, a 30,000 sq ft entertainment zone, and a 1,500-seat banquet hall. Additionally, the mall will have parking facilities to accommodate approximately 850 vehicles.
Nilambur's strategic location as a mobility hub connecting Kerala with Ooty, Mysore, and Bengaluru enhances the significance of the HiLITE Centre.
