Amazon Retail India losses widen nearly 194% to Rs 1,158 crore in FY26

Amazon Retail India, which manages Amazon Now and Amazon Fresh, reported a net loss of Rs 1,158.3 crore in the financial year ended March 2026, according to regulatory filing data shared by market intelligence firm Tofler.

The company’s net loss increased from Rs 394.2 crore in FY25, marking a rise of nearly 194%.

Amazon Retail’s total sales increased 49.46% to Rs 3,065.1 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 2,050.8 crore in the previous financial year.

The company’s cost of goods rose 64% to Rs 2,887.9 crore during the year. According to the filing data, this accounted for nearly 94% of its revenue.

Tofler said Amazon Retail India reported revenue of about Rs 3,080 crore for FY26, representing a 49% increase from the previous financial year, while its net loss rose to Rs 1,158 crore.

The widening loss comes despite the company recording substantial growth in sales during the fiscal year.
