New Delhi: Pakistan's muddled politics has more to it than meets the eye—except that it is a theatre of the absurd. The latest melee is roiling regarding the possible no-confidence motion to be initiated against the government.

The most recent twist comes in the form of tweets from Marriyum Aurangzeb. The central spokesperson to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz's (PMLN) said that "a man sitting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was attempting to put pressure on party parliamentarians," according to IANS.

But she did not go for detail, prompting Pakistani journalist Syed Talat Hussain to stock the fire with more tweets. He said, "Mariam Aurangzeb's statement is explosive", alleging PM Imran dragging 'the institutions' into politics".

Syed Talat Hussain added that PM as "damaging 'the repute' by making someone 'recently appointed in Peshawar' to call N members on the planned vote of no confidence. The statement will have consequences."

She warned that if the process of pressuring the PMLN parliamentarians is not stopped, the party would be forced to name that person.

According to Marriyum, Imran Khan is using that person to pressurise the PMLN parliamentarians in a fit of fear of losing PM chair.

The spokesperson as reported by The News International said that credibility of national institutions had been damaged a lot already by the government's dragging of them into politics.

Marriyum also said initiating no-confidence motion a constitutional right of every political party.

She said that the opposition parties and the PDM would bring a no-confidence motion after consultations, at an appropriate time.

She warned against Prime Minister Khan making that person call the PMLN leaders, as well as urging him to compete the opposition political parties in a political way.

Marriyum said the unconstitutional acts being taken by Khan showed his fears of defeat.

A few weeks before, PM Imran Khan warned the Opposition parties of him being more dangerous if they forced him to step down as he ruled out granting any concession to them, according to PTI.

Asked about the planned long march of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Khan responded, "If I take to the streets, then you (opposition parties) won't find any place to hide," Khan said.
