A video clip in which a fish comes to life after putting in hot oil is what gathered netizens' awe recently, writes NDTV.

The Internet is always plagued with similar videos which catch the eyes of many while scrolling. The said fish video, shared by a Reddit user, is among the latest, which has triggered debates on how the miracle happened or is it even one. The video obviously went viral.

The clip, posted by Reddit user u/Inside_Ad1436 on the sub-Reddit r/Damnthatsinteresting, has gathered 4.6k upvotes in less than 24 hours and was counting. It was captioned "When the fish does not accept death," quoted NDTV.

The video features a whole fish thrown into a pan of hot oil. For a moment, the fish lay still but started to twist and turn in the pan, splattering the oil about, giving the apparent impression that it was alive. The person in the video takes the pan with the writhing and squirming fish to the sink and waits for it to calm down.

Many Reddit users reacted to the footage with awe, horror etc. One of the users commented that the video was completely "horrendous" and the user got scared when the person in the video took the pan of hot oil with fish to the sink.

Some users tried scientific explanations. One wrote that the fish was dead, and the carcass was reacting to the salt and oil. The user said that salt activates the still-fresh nerves and fire signals, causing muscle spasms. Salts are important to the human body, which fires signals in one's nerves, the user explained.
